ABOUT
Breitling were sponsors of the famous Giro d’ Italia in the late 1940’s and early 1950’s and produced a small number of these watches which were given to riders and their teams and also sold by a few breitling dealers in Italy.
This excellent example was sold by a dealer in Savona Italy in 1953. The dial, hands, and case showing nice patination. Very wearable 38mm case. The movement is running perfectly with chronograph functioning as it should. Overall a great example of a rare find with box and papers.
